The FCA-Sports Injury Council is a not for profit offspring
of the Florida Chiropractic Association and has been developed
to help advance the chiropractic profession in the Sports arena.
We are a dedicated council made of current licensed chiropractic
physicians with emphasis on the natural healing of the injured athlete
and on the enhancements and preventative management of the training athlete.
The Nature and purpose of this Council is to advance the prevention,
Chiropractic management and rehabilitation of athletic injuries by the chiropractic
profession.
- To protect the professional welfare and interest of the members of this
Council.
- To educate the sports active public in the science and philosophy
of Chiropractic and its role as a separate, but equal, non-duplicating and needed addition
to the sports team.
- To maintain and encourage the highest standards and morals of practice
in our profession.
- To promote scientific research in the field of athletics, sports injuries,
physical fitness, rehabilitation, and drugless performance enhancement.
- To correlate and disseminate information on the athletic and sport injuries
to the profession and to the members of this Council.
- To advance “Sports Chiropractic” by means of education, research, and public
relations;
- To sponsor seminars and graduate study through accredited Chiropractic
colleges approved by the CCE;
- To encourage educational dialogue with other Councils of the FCA.
- To encourage professional and ethical consultation and relationships with members
of allied professions.
- To cooperate with the FCA Executive Board, officers and all councils and departments.
- To assist in any lawful business pr purpose whatever for which non-profit corporations may be
organized under the Florida Corporation Law of the Florida Statues as made and amended.
